FLOODS
Flooding is one natural disaster in a state where a region inundated by water in amounts so large.
While the flood is the flood that came suddenly caused by blockage of the river as well as due to deforestation along the river, causing much loss for all human beings are overwritten flooding, including damage to people's homes, causing casualties, and other losses .
Floods almost every rainy season hit Indonesia.
Flood disasters are largely influenced by natural factors such above-normal rainfall and the rising tide of sea water. Besides man-made factors are also a major cause of flooding, such as inappropriate land use. such as settlements in the area of flood plains, in the catchment areas, deforestation, disposal of garbage into the river, residential development in flood plain areas and so forth.
Causes of Flood:
- Many settlements are built on the plains along the rivers.
-Surface soil was lower than sea level.

Efforts To Reduce Impact of Flooding:
-No throwing garbage into the rivers. Hold River Dredging Program.
-Rehabilitation program is the headwaters of the river should always be carried out and reduce activity in the flood-prone river.
